Electromagnetic RFID Safety Switches
The MGL-Range RFID Coded Electromagnetic Safety Locking Switches are engineered to provide a high level of functional safety and reliable magnetic door interlocking in industrial settings. These switches combine advanced RFID sensing with magnetic locking (power-to-lock), ensuring that both principles must be met for safe operation.
The MGL safety locking devices offer a maximum holding force of up to 1500 N,
suitable for small to large door types.
The actuator is designed to accommodate a degree of misalignment, adding
flexibility and ease of installation. Additionally, the switches feature
residual magnetization, which maintains a light magnetic latch after unlocking
or power loss. Special versions without this residual hold are available for
applications involving smaller doors.
The MGL-Range is compatible with most popular standard safety relays, including
IDEM’s VIPER SCR range. This compatibility allows the switches to achieve up to
PLe/CAT4 safety levels according to ISO13849-1, ensuring they meet the highest
safety standards required in industrial environments.
Designed to withstand harsh environments, the MGL-Range is constructed from
either polyester, die-cast aluminium and stainless steel 316, making them ideal
for a wide range of applications, including but not limited to:
