Tongue Interlock Safety Switches
Our tongue-operated Interlock Safety Switches with tamper-resistant interlocking resist external tampering effectively. They provide robust position interlock detection for moving guards.
These tongue interlock switches feature industry-standard housings and fit the leading edge
of
sliding, hinged, or lift-off guards. Additionally, with dual entry slots and rotatable
heads,
which move only when the cover screws are released, these switches offer various actuator
entry
options based on the chosen switch.
Depending on the risk assessment for the application, you can use them independently to
provide
positively operated contacts to IEC60947-5-1. Alternatively, you can combine them with any
dual-channel safety monitoring relays.
These safety switches come in three different materials: high-specification red polyester,
painted die-cast metal, and stainless steel 316. All are designed to withstand harsh
industrial
environments.
For washdown environments like food processing, pharmaceutical, and petro-chemical
industries,
the stainless steel 316 range offers protection up to IP69K. This makes them suitable for
high-pressure chemical cleaning or CIP/SIP applications. Moreover, the IP69K enclosure
protection, maintained by a double seal lid gasket, withstands high-pressure hosing with
detergent up to +80°C and 100 psi.
